You are always on my mind!
January 2nd, 2010I recently cleaned out my DVDs and narrowed down my selection. Sold about 100 DVDs and used Handbrake to put them on my Mac. Now I have less clutter in the house, digital copies of the DVDs I cleared out and room for new DVDs if need be. I did notice I didn’t get rid of any stand-up comedy DVDs. They seem to stand the test of time. From that I started making a list of my favorite Comedians. I don’t do really stoopid (yes spelled wrong for a reason) comedy. I want “on the mark”, truth, entertaining, topical (yet able to stand the test of time), thought provoking, smart, talented comedy. I started putting together a list of these names. We can start with these and go from there.
Jeff Dunham, Chris Rock, Gabriel Inglesias, Rodney Carrington, Rodney Dangerfield, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes, Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen DeGeneres, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Old school Robin Williams, Lewis Black, Stephen Lynch, Katt Williams, Ron White, Stephen Wright, Bill Cosby (Himself), Greg Giraldo, Steve Martin, Lisa Lampanellie and Joan Rivers. Others include, but are not limited too – Gilbert Gottfried, Norm Mac Donald, Nick DiPaolo, Jon Lovitz, and one of the best female funny ladies EVER Cloris Leachman.
People I did not include because I am just not into or simply don’t find funny: Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, Carlos “The Thief” Mencia, Martin Lawrence, Demitri Martin, DANE COOK. It is a bit harder to come up with these name because I try to forget them.
