Never realized how many games ….

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

….I play! So, Here is a list of more games.  I enjoy using these to waste some time and clear my mind….so without further adue, more games I love.

There are an incredible amount of TD or turret/tower defense games. Though not my favorite type of game, I have found some I really enjoy.

There are plenty of others and even entire web sites dedicated to Tower Defense type games – however, the ones I listed are my favorite.

In my favorite genre of games, distance, My list is a little longer. Just like TD games, there are a vast amount of these games littered across the Internet.

and distance combined with skill

Then games I just love, random, mouse controlled and down right fun!

  • Ice Breaker
  • Catch a Crab 1
  • Tower Blox
  • Pinch Hitter
  • Bloons (such an Internet favorite, this game has spawned new versions, such as a TD, and many player packs of the original game)
  • Gold Miner (as much as I hate QWERTY or other key stroke controlled games, I can’t pass up This particular timer waster)
  • Crazy 4 Nuts (I did eventually purchase this game. Needless to say, since it’s on my list, I was very happy with the purchase)
  • Cow Box

Now go play but make sure you don’t loose track of time – You probably still have work to do……

All the Hoopla

Friday, January 8th, 2010

When I was younger, I played lots of board and card games. From Candyland and Shoots & Ladders to Uno & Mille Bornes and everything in between. In the past few years I did find some games in my adult life that I would like to share.

The top three games are easily Hoopla, Apples to Apples & Grass. Hoopla, a Cranium game, is loads of fun. It gets loud, people start shouting out and laughing hard….You will have fun with this game – My only issue is, NO extension set of cards. That is NOT a problem with the second game I mentioned, Apples to Apples. This game is great for getting to know people and how they think. It is basically matching definitions to a word. The very small learning curve will get even the most resistant friends to get involved. This game has many different card sets to keep the game going and fun for a very long time.  Another card game I enjoy with friends is Grass. This is a Marijuana based strategy game. It uses cards and the table you sit at is the game board. Much more than a “pot” game, I always felt if the “topic” was different the game would be as popular as any other produced over the last 10 or so years. Even pot heads should check this one out.

Other games I enjoy.  What Were You Thinking, Bop-it and Bop-it Extreme and Pass the Pigs. What Were You Thinking starts excellent conversations and makes for a great night. Great to play with competitive people. It is interesting to see the inner workings of peoples thoughts. Not in a thinking mood, Bop-it is a “no-brainer”. It’s like Simon on crack or steroids. If you like Simon you’ll love Bop-it. Pass the Pigs is an old skool dice game with small rubber pigs. You roll the “pigs” and they can land in a variety of different combinations. Count up the points and keep the roll or pass the pigs to the next roller. Great to mess with when your having a few beers with a friend.

If you have other suggestions – By all means, comments welcome.

Dam Chickens!!!!!!

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

The one of only a few dozen games (from Atari’s Space Invaders, to Micro Olympics) I actually enjoyed paying for and would again, is Chicken Invaders: Return of the Yolk! This game  is in my top 5 or so favorite ever! Chicken Invaders is the most fun you can have with just your mouse. That alone gets me in a fun zone with it’s simplicity, but is so detailed and different, you can’t stop playing or enjoying this game. It comes in the Original Design and includes a Christmas Edition all in one pack. Click the picture of the chicken (the funny looking one up above) to go directly to the game download page or click the link to visit the main page for the game creator: InterAction Studios.

My number one game

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

I play this Game more than any other. It is called Micro-Olympics. This any other games can be played on Micro-Sheep.com. The easier the game, with the easiest one click controls, that have to do with distance, seem to be, by far, my favorite. Try this one out. You will wounder how you can become obsessed with something so simple! Link to this game.
